Sciences Po: launch of the cinema chair with director Claire Denis

Sciences Po has launched the cinema chair, the first holder of which is director Claire Denis. Its implementation aims to " strengthen the ties between the arts and the human and social sciences ", in line with the creation of the writer's chair. These initiatives aim to “decentralize the gaze” and allow students to “think complex issues differently”, explained Mathias Vicherat, director of Sciences Po, Thursday February 23, introducing the masterclass with Claire Denis.
Moderated by the critic Jean-Michel Frodon, teacher in the master's degree in political arts at Sciences Po, the meeting organized in collaboration with the School of Public Affairs at Sciences Po is the first of a series of four which will run from over the year. It is available on YouTube.

The official launch of this new chair started with the screening, on Tuesday February 21, of White Material, a feature film by Claire Denis with Isabelle Huppert, Isaach de Bankolé and Christophe Lambert.
