On the occasion of the Franco-German Council of Ministers (Conseil des ministres franco-allemand) held at the Presidency of the Republic on Sunday, January 22, the anniversary date of the Elysée Treaty, Rima Abdul Malak, Minister of Culture, and Claudia Roth, Federal Delegate of German Culture and Media, have decided to work together over the next few years to implement new joint projects, particularly for youth, according to a joint statement issued on Sunday evening.

The two countries had signed, during a meeting in Berlin on November 24, a declaration of intent for the implementation of cultural cooperation around the Culture pass implemented in France and in several European countries (Satellifacts, November 23). This provides for the signing of an application agreement to support the efforts of Germany, which is developing the KulturPass platform to promote access to culture for younger generations, based on the French model. The project should come about in Germany between April and June 2023.
