AFP, Arcom and the association La Chance are renewing their partnership for a 2nd edition of the " Michèle-Léridon grant for diversity in the media ", they announced on Tuesday 30 May. Applications for this new edition are now open.
To participate in this competition, applications must be sent to the address: BourseMicheleLeridon@afp.com by June 30 at the latest. The competition is open to all students who have followed the courses of La Chance during the years 2020-2021, 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 without having managed, at the end of this training, to integrate one of the schools of journalism recognized by the profession, it is specified.
The application file must include a CV, a cover letter, a presentation video of one minute and a half maximum and three journalistic works (published or not). The finalists will be received in September for an interview with the jury, made up of members of AFP and Arcom. The name of the winner will also be announced in September, during an award ceremony. The winner will be offered by AFP, in agreement with the CFPJ, a two-year work-study contract within this renowned and recognized training center, which will begin this fall. They will also receive an endowment of 5,000 euros awarded by Arcom.
This scholarship was created to honor the memory of Michèle Léridon and to continue her commitment to better representation of diversity in the media. Former director of information for AFP and then member of the CSA, who died in May 2021, Michèle Léridon was very attached to equal opportunities and to ensuring that the profession of journalist better represents society.
