The 12 books selected for the 10th edition of Shoot the Book!, organized as part of the Film Market at the Cannes Film Festival (May 16 to 24), were announced by Scelf on Friday April 21. These books will be pitched by their publishers to producers on May 18 and 19, with a view to a possible film adaptation.
The selections were Abîmes by Sonja Delzongle (France, Editions Denoël), Before we Were Monsters by Katniss Hsiao (Taiwan, The Grayhawk Agency), Enlightenment by Angela Steidele (Germany, Elisabeth Ruge Agentur), How Beautiful is the Sea by Yiğit Karaahmet (Turkey, AnatoliaLit Agency), Je suis Camille by Jean-Loup Felicioli (France, Syros), La linea del colore by Igiaba Scego (Italy, Piergiorgio Nicolazzini Literary Agency), Monstres by Frédéric Richaud (France, Editions Julliard), Patagonie route 203 by Eduardo Fernando Varela (France, Editions Métailié), Rhapsodie des Oubliés by Sofia Aouine (France, Editions de la Martinière), Rivage de la Colère by Caroline Laurent (France, Les Escales Editions), Satisfaction by Nina Bouraoui (France, Editions Jean-Claude Lattès) and finally Soixante printemps en Hiver by Ingrid Chabbert and Aimée de Jongh (France, Editions Dupuis).
