The delegation for children's rights of the Assemblée nationale will organize on Wednesday, December 14, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., a symposium devoted to digital technology and the protection of minors, it announced on Friday, December 9. Among the many speakers are expected, in particular, Sarah Bouchahoua, head of public affairs for Snapchat France, Éric Garandeau, director of institutional relations and public affairs for TikTok France, Carole Bienaimé Besse, member of Arcom, as well as representatives of Microsoft and Webedia (Fimalac).

The development of new technologies entails significant risks for the protection of the children who use them, the press release underlined. The symposium will examine the "issues and prospects of this digital violence, which can be avoided, for the protection of minors."
